Best Times of My Life So Far

Image
August 26, 2026 | Wednesday |1:58 PM      The 5 BEST Times I've Ever had in my Life 1. The last big vacation that I went on with my mom was one of the best times of my life. We went to San Diego, California so that Mom could see the orcas. They're her favorite animal. Her whole entire house had posters of orcas, Elvis Presley & NW Coast Salish artwork. We lost her on October 5th, 2024. πŸ˜πŸ’”πŸ˜“  I have a couple of videos of Mom inside Sea World. After we watched the orca show and began to walk around, we came upon a small area where an orca was in place not really moving. 😟 Mom stood there watching the single orca. It was sad. Tho. It was exciting to see all of the orcas, it was still sad to see them in such small spaces. They're used to traveling all around the oceans. They're used to being able to go to the ocean floors & then jump freely in the air. The orcas in Sea World are stuck in pods maybe 5 or 6 times their size. I'm o...

Honor Their Teachings

August 17, 2026 | Monday Night | 10:07 PM          What's The Craziest Thing I Ever Done                                in My Life One of the craziest things that I ever done was bought a Greyhound ticket to Tucson, Arizona & ordered a concert ticket for the NB Ridaz Reunion Tour in 2018. I learned about their music back in 1996 when I was in school in Salem, Oregon & I fell in love with their music. It was their first time being together in 15 plus years & I wanted to see them LIVE! I saw them once back in 2000 when I first got to college in Santa, New Mexico. I was spending a lot of time with one of my Aunties back then, Aunty Lola. She told me, "Niece, right now, you have the money to travel. You're in good health. Take the chance & opportunities when you can. Travel. See the world. Have fun." And, so I listened to my Elder.  She also ...

Forgiveness or Not

August 05, 2026|Wednesday Afternoon              12:45 PM                            I Will Never Forgive I am a forgiving person. I believe in forgiveness. I believe that most people deserve second chances. I believe that people change. So, I'm having a difficult time trying to find something or someone to not forgive.  Empathy is one of my greatest strengths. Kindness is another. Unconditional love for my family & friends. For my community. For my spiritual & cultural family, too. πŸ’›πŸ©·πŸ’›πŸ©· As I contemplate the hardships of my life, I feel extremely bad about not being able to be there for my family as often as I want to be. I feel bad for missing birthdays, holidays & tribal gatherings. I feel bad for not being able to be there for my beautiful nieces R. & S.B. I'm extremely close to the two of them at heart. I love all of my ni...

Heart Strings

July 08, 2026 | Wednesday Morning| 11:18 AM     The Most Dramatic Fork in The Road in                                 My Life There have been many dramatic forks in the road in my life so far. Let me think about this for a while. It's difficult to pin down a particular moment in time.  One of the biggest mistakes that I made was not listening to my intuition when my last ex. Boyfriend re-entered my life. I dated him as a teenager, too. I remember one conversation that we had & he was laughing. We were both laughing & he mentioned under his breath, "You deserve someone so much better than me." He also said, "I'm not good for you." But, I didn't pay attention. He was someone who was a really good friend when we were teenagers. I didn't stop to think, some people change for the better. And, some people change for the worse. But, I was reunited with him & I wanted to see wh...

Book Nerd

7/25/26  /Saturday Afternoon  / 1:37 PM          The Book that has had the Greatest                                 influence on my life One of the best books that I have ever read is, The Four Agreements, by: Don Miguel Ruiz. I remember reading πŸ“š it for the first time & how surprised I was with the life changing wisdom that was shared with each person who reads the book. I was at a place in my life where I wanted to learn, mature & grow more internally for myself. I'm always searching for new people to learn from. Especially, through books. And, I came across The Four Agreements & decided to read it.  In the very beginning, I read through it almost like I was listening to someone read it to me. Not skimming through it, but, not fully taking in every single word & lesson & teaching. Then, after reading a couple of chapters,...
