Book Nerd

7/25/26  /Saturday Afternoon  / 1:37 PM          The Book that has had the Greatest                                 influence on my life One of the best books that I have ever read is, The Four Agreements, by: Don Miguel Ruiz. I remember reading 📚 it for the first time & how surprised I was with the life changing wisdom that was shared with each person who reads the book. I was at a place in my life where I wanted to learn, mature & grow more internally for myself. I'm always searching for new people to learn from. Especially, through books. And, I came across The Four Agreements & decided to read it.  In the very beginning, I read through it almost like I was listening to someone read it to me. Not skimming through it, but, not fully taking in every single word & lesson & teaching. Then, after reading a couple of chapters,...

I Was MOST Happy When ......

July 13, 2026  | Monday Night  | 10:25 PM                    I Was MOST Happy When It's difficult to answer this question, or, respond to this statement because there are so many aspects of my life so far to consider. Most importantly, losing my beautiful mother on October 5th, 2024. So, is it BLM or ALM? Before Losing Mom, or, After Losing Mom? In general, beginning in 3rd grade, I was most happy playing softball for the city of Auburn. Or, was it Auburn Parks & Recreation? I played on a team with other girls from my elementary school. I played from 3rd grade to 6th grade & it was some of the best times for me. I was one of the best players on my team & it was my small piece of Heaven on Earth. I didn't know that you could love a sport that much until I began playing softball in 3rd grade. We practiced at Dick Scobee Elementary School & that was about a 10 - 15 minute walk for me so I'd...

A handful of cinnamon hot jawbreakers

July 06, 2026|Monday Early Evening| 4:57 PM             Things I have been addicted to One of my favorite candies as a little girl was Fireballs. They're a small jawbreaker candy that is cinnamon hot! My friends & I really loved buying them at the local 7-11 store. At the time, they were only $.05 cents. When the cashier person was being friendly & kind, they'd allow us to grab a handful extra & put them in our brown paper bag! They knew that we all shared with our families & friends! Sometimes, we'd only have a quarter or fifty cents & that's when they'd tell us to go ahead, one handful or two! 😃😁🤩  Another thing that I really enjoyed as a little girl was my Aunty Wendy's canned sweet pickles! She would make them from scratch, too. My mom & Dad Mackie would visit Aunty Wendy & Uncle Terry 2-3 times a year when they lived in Mt. Vernon, Washington. And, they'd also visit us, too. So, Aunty Wendy would occasion...

She Is Love

July 02, 2026  |Thursday Afternoon | 2:40 PM                    The One Thing I Regret                         In The Whole World  The one thing that I regret in the whole world is being the reason why my beautiful mother worried & cried. And, not being able to spend time with her when she specifically asked me to travel with her & be at her side. 😥 💔 😥 A couple of years ago at our family June Birthdays Celebration my beautiful mother saw me & cried. "Hi Baby. I missed you." She told me through tears. I hugged her tightly & kissed the top of her head over & over. "I'm sorry for crying." She told me.  "It's OK, Mom. I missed you, too. I love you so much." I told her as she was held in my arms. With certain health conditions that I live with, every single day is a guessing game as to how I feel. Most days, I feel extremely tir...
